Artisanal food is having its day in the sun. Which is a good thing: we can now find everything from kimchi to chocolate to lip balms made by the hands of makers who really care about their product. But beef jerky? That's a tough niche. That is, until now. Kings County is changing the beef jerky game; they use only the best beef, from happy cows raised on pasture, to make their deliciously lean snacks. Because jerky deserves the same artisanal treatment as the rest of our food does. Taste this, and we think you'll agree.
About Kings County
Chris Woehrle and Robert Stout left their corporate jobs in 2009 in search of a little something more. They found that, as you now know, in jerky. They honed in (hard, fastidiously) on a niche that hadn't yet been developed by others, and it paid off. Three years later, they sell their jerky far and wide. You'll still find them behind a booth at The Brooklyn Flea, though, selling alongside their bearded, artisanal food comrades. That's just how dedicated they are.
