Creating our kitchens is a personal process. dbO Home understands this, and has created an entire line of housewares so our own flair and style can carry over to where we cook. Don’t have the country house you’ve always dreamed of? Build one around you with dbO’s original designs, with bucolic charm and an urban edge all at the same time. Handcrafted in small batches, dbO’s ceramics, furniture, and textiles are made from sustainable materials and accented with unique, one-of-a-kind designs inspired by - and utilizing - the nature around them. Take the Honeycomb collection, made by imprinting beehive elements in clay, or Plantlife, which uses actual botanicals rolled into each piece for an elegant effect. From their country studios in Connecticut, Dana and Daniel Oates work painstakingly to produce their homewares in small batches. Founded in 2005, dbO works with the goal of bringing luxury to the table, everyday. They focus on using sustainable, organic materials as much as possible, and on working with local and Fair Trade artisans for their textile lines. Dana heads the ceramics, and just across the way, in a big red barn, Daniel turns out his beautiful, bespoke furniture. Red barn and all, it’s just how you imagine dbO would operate.
